Using AI agents or building agentic workflows? The vaults.fyi API also supports pay-per-request access via x402, a micropayment protocol for AI agents. This lets autonomous systems call the API without a fixed monthly subscription — paying only for the requests they make.

Understanding Credits

Subscriptions are measured in Credits (Compute Units), which reflect the resources required to fulfill each type of request. Lightweight endpoints like /v2/assets cost 1 CU per call, while data-heavy endpoints return multiple datapoints and cost more per response.
